Why can't I get video when I.....?

link to a story? When using Yahoo as my home page, whenever I click on a story that has a video, I get the story but no video. There is a box where the video clip should be, but no video. Only a tiny box in the upper left hand corner. Is there a program or something not opening to prevent this? I have Windows Vista and IE 8. Any help would be appreciated.

You need flash player. Go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer

Should work just fine after that.
