security camera bioshock
is it possible to build a remote controlled drone?
well, i drew up a design that a friend said looked awfully similar to a security drone from a game called bioshock, but instead of using real ammo i was thinking automatic airsoft guns, attaching a light, adding an extra propellor on top and bottom, and having a camera for the lens. i was hoping for it to be electrically powered using a charger, my question is if this is possible at all? btw i can make my own plastic molds so it can be covered.
If you want a "propellor on top" you can make R/C model helicopter, but they are much harder to fly than conventional model aircraft. Plastic isn't the best material for a small plane, wood is much lighter for the same strength.
If you want to carry the weight of cameras etc you are probably talking about a model with a few feet wingspan which is a serious project, but perfectly possible. Large model planes are actually easier to control than small ones, but the cost of crashing them is a lot higher in both time to repair them and money, so most people start flying something small.
Just remember there is a very big difference between a "design" of something that can actually fly, and a "picture of a cool idea", which is probably what you drew, judging by the questions.
