Power Horn Siren

Computer making loud Siren (Horn) Sound, and Power Light won't come on? What has happened? Is Computer dead?
My Veriton 5500 has started to make a loud horn blowing noise, when I turn it on, but the power light is not coming on and yet I can hear it running but nothing else is happening except for this loud siren blowing, is the computer dead or is it something that is easily and inexpensively fixed. The siren stops as soon as I unplug the power cord, but if I try it again as soon as I plug the power in....the siren starts up again. Can't get anything to come up on the monitor now, the power light is still not lighting up, but can hear the computer running, siren noise is driving me nuts but need to know what could be wrong.
A continous BEEP from the time you turn it on?? Replace the keyboard. The beep will appear as soon as the OS starts and the keyboard drivers are loaded. A stuck key or keys will then fill up the keyboard buffer, maybe up to 132 characters and will start a pulsed beep, signifying the buffer overflow. A continous beep from turn on indicates the video memory or system memeory - bad or loose RAM or video card. Be sure the DIMM memory boards are fully seated and tight. It is possible that the first 64K of memory is faulted, causing no boot, and a quick check of the BIOS should reveal some clues.
