can a home made infra red camera allow you to see infra red beams used in home security?
i was on youtube and i saw a video that taught me how to make a Night Vision Camera . to do this you need 4 red celofane lens cut outs and 6 blue celofane lens cut outs placed in the lens in a pattern of blue red blue red blue red. it said that it would prevent all light from exiting the lens except for infrared beams. than if you point the infra red beams at somthing and look at the same object with a digital camera made in the seventies that can see infrared beams you can use it as night vision. my question however is, does home security and motion sensors use infrared beams to sence movement in a room and if so if you use just the infrared sencing camera could you see the infrared beam and avoid it ? im not intrerested in using this so i can use this to rob people im just curious. best wishes
They use infrared, sonar and body heat. The infrared doesn't shoot out like a laser but more like a flash light so you can't aviod it.
They do have the old laser ir systems. My grandma had one. but you're talking about 20+ years ago. That one i used to be able to walk over the top of it because i knew where it was.
