Does the following paragraph sound like a good theme for a movie?
It's the year 2015 and chatting between people, in person, is against the law. If people want to communicate in a chatty fashion they may do so but only by phone or internet or by letter, or within the family home and property. Chatting in the street will incur an on the spot fine of $500 and a second offence will result in a prison sentence up to 2 weeks, in solitary confinement. Restaurants, cafes, and other eateries do still exist but are monitored by security cameras and security staff.
It is illegal to chat in person because that is just the way things are, in the year 2015.
Then what happens? Tthe usual thing in movies like this, a group of non-conformists sneak away from the city and start up there own township where they spend all day, chatting in the street.
You cannot be seen to be chatting on your phone within 6 feet (or 2 meters) of another person.
Oh, I forgot, you can ask Questions and answer Questions with each other as long as they are thorough and informative!
whats the point? Wheres the conflict? Sounds like it could be good, you should check out the movie Equilibrium bc its a similar concept but instead of talking emotion and any emotion related material is illeagal. or read the book brave new world which created the type of society you are using for your idea.
