Card Bnc Rca
Cheap RF DEmodulator?
OK. I am wanting to take an RF signal being sent via standard coaxial cable and demodulate it, seperating it into composite video out and audio out (RCA plugs. Yellow, red, and white)
The only demodulators I have been able to find are rack mounted units for over $100.
I am only needing to demodulate the signal from channel 2 or 3, so I don't need a huge "aglie" demodulator. It is for my Atari 2600.
Some things to bear in mind when answering:
1. I do NOT want to hard mod my Atari.
2. I do NOT need a Radio Shack MODULATOR!
3. I do NOT want to go through a VCR.
4. I do NOT need to demodulate HiDef.
5. I am needing COMPOSITE video out, not COMPONENT out.
6. I do NOT want to use a tuner card through my PC.
7. I WOULD be willing to have the signal sent out VIA a BNC connection, as long as it is sending out a composite video signal and not an RF mixed signal.
Any leads would be greatly appreciated.
You are looking for the wrong thing.
In effect you need a set-top box or TV tuner.
Here is one for $85 that does all you need and more.
You may find cheaper solutions as well.
