How to know if the lens is for a medium format camera?
I've been searching ebay for medium format lenses for my DIY lensbaby, but most of the sellers include the whole camera system, making it super expensive, I only want the lens.
Some sellers that I ask if the lenses that they sell, they said that they do not know. I've been searching for medium format brands like Mamiya, Bronica & Hasselblad.
But when I bought a $12 Mamiya-Sekor E 50mm lens, I found out that it's not for a medium format, too late, the seller doesn't accept returns.
How would I know if the lens is for a medium format camera?

These best thing to do is just to put Medium Format Camera into Google, therefore most of the lenses that will show up will be medium format.
What lens size do you want? You have to remember that a 50mm lens for a Mamiya 35mm camera is the normal lens. that would compare to a 75mm, 80mm or 90mm and a medium format camera. The 50mm lens on a medium format is a wide angle lens.
I would look for lenses for 6x6 Bronicas where, I think, you can get some aftermarket glass. There is no aftermarket glass for a Mamiya at all. I can't speak for the Hassys, I am sure that some are made, but you will probably have to pay a fortune for them.
Popular medium format cameras that you would be:
Mamiya RB67 (6x7 format, 90mm normal)
Mamiya RG67 (same as above, but the are not interchangable with the RB lenses)
Mamiya 645 models
Hasselblad
Bronica
Some Fuji
Pentax 645 and 67models
And there are older lenses available for the 6x6 Zeiss, and Russian copies, SLR cameras.
There are other brands, but these are the ones you will see the most of.
