question about portable lcd tv and hooking to laptop to record?
what i have is a easystar rc plane with wireless camera on-board and watch/fly through my portable lcd tv but i want to record the live feed.. im at a park so no power to plug in dvr/vcr
camera is 900mhz 500mw and tv has full sized rca's that go to the wireless receiver for plane feed
An interesting challenge, and I can't think of an easy answer. The TV has no output to connect any type of recorder.
What channel does the wireless camera transmit on? Analog or digital? If it's analog, a VCR would be an obvious choice. You can overcome the power issue by using an inverter. See the link for an example.

Followup per your added details: okay, that's a special application receiver and TV. It would seem that, as I suggest above, the TV has no output to any type of recorder, which is normal for just about any TV. More likely, the digital receiver, which is your signal source, would have some type of output for that purpose. Basically, recording has to be done from a source, not a receiver. Good luck.
